Clarification: My last post was meant to go to facebook. But it was too long, so I C/P'ed it here, and now I can't edit it. Damn you, deviantart!

Thank you! The bribes, a reliable source informs me, have arrived safely. In consequence, I won't tell your friendslist what you did in Moscow back in the days of '64. You are safe...for now...

In answer to your question, sometimes I'm on facebook, sometimes on deviantart. You seek me here, you seek me there... My access to the former isn't reliable. It comes and goes, depending on what's happening in the land of attractive ceramics.

I'm due back in the land of the unemployed in late June/early July. After that, my plans aren't fixed, but you'll be sure to see me before September. (And if you now feel obliged to book an emergency flight to Florida for August, I'll come and see you in July. Ah ha!)

I'm glad I've never seen what my doctors have written about me.

Your costume looks great! Don't have to much fun though. Fun can be lethal to Scots and Scots elect. It harms their biological processes, you know. Just drink a bottle of malt every morning instead.

When I asked for your address, I didn't intend you to stick it up here in public - I think it's possible to send messages privately on DA.

Last semester I was teaching English Writing and Spoken English. Next semester I'm supposed to teach English Writing and Basic English Writing. I don't know how to interpret that. Either I did an excellent job with English Writing or I did a crap job with Spoken English. ATM I suspect the latter is the case.

I figured out that your Chinese zodiac sign would be the same as mine because we were both born after the Spring Festival in 1987. Rabbit in Putonghua (Mandarin Chinese) is tý zi - 兔子. Apparently in Vietnam, they have the year of the cat instead of the year of the rabbit.

We Rabbits are lucky, graceful and charming and it's certainly just a matter of time until astrology is recognised as a true science. :p

My mum is coming out to China next week, so we're going to go sightseeing to Beijing and Xi'an.

How are things at your end of the internet?

Thanks for the photo! Staffies are really sweet when they aren't at the end of a choke chain held by a pale young man who's for some reason misplaced his hair. A lost staffie turned up on the field of my mum's school once. Apparently it spent the lunch break sitting in her office on her feet being fed biscuits until the people from the local shelter came. I'd like a staffie if my life ever allows for one. Or any dog, really.

By the way, I have BRILLIANTLY, CLEVERLY, INGENIOUSLY managed to forget a) the number of your house in Balmullo and b) the postal code

Your present is now in the UK at my parents' house awaiting dispatches and dispatching. (Groan).

Could you PM me or email me? I actually have your address stored in the mail of my facebook account, where it is completely bloody useless because of the Great Firewall.

Merry Christmas.
dog-days Featured By Owner Dec 17, 2010
I'm sending you a small, light Christmas present, but since I'm sending it via China Post, and since according to the BBC the world is ending in snow and ice between Cardiff to Aberdeen, I may arrive before it does.

I hope you aren't snowed in. Or, if you are snowed in, that you have captured the milkman and are about to roast him on an open fire as I type.
